MTIC works with Rugby Players Ireland's mental wellbeing campaign, Phase 2
Having completed work for the delivery of Phase 1, MTIC are now working with Rugby Players Ireland in the development of social change model and M&E framework for Phase 2 of the Tackle Your Feelings campaign. This important campaign aims to help break down stigma and inspire more people to become proactive in looking after their mental wellbeing. For more information about the campaign please visit www.tackleyourfeelings.com
MTIC supports the local community. Alongside several other Business Volunteers, and in line with our mission to support, engage, inspire and deliver social value, MTIC will be carrying out 1:1 mock interviews with Year 10 students who have previously attended an Interview Skills Preparation Day. This event aims to encourage and motivate students to fulfil their potential; help students realise the relevance of their education, and; raise awareness of career opportunities available to young people. We are very excited to support this wonderful initiative organised by the Basingstoke Consortium.
Social enterprise master class at Universidad de Puerto Rico
Our Director, Maritza Tucker, recently delivered a master class on social entrepreneurship and social impact measurement for MBA students at Universidad de Puerto Rico. The group was comprised of experienced professionals who are interested in contributing positively to Puerto Rico's economy and society, at local and national levels. MTIC are delighted to be able to contribute in the process of social innovation and action in Puerto Rico.
Knowledge exchange and collaboration with US social enterprise advocates and supporters. MTIC are just back from a road trip in North Carolina USA. We held a very successful set of meetings with key institutions engaged in social enterprise research and support, and are well on our way to establishing strong, important partnerships for the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and to support the growth of the sector internationally.
MTIC invited for Fellowship. We are very proud to have been invited by the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA) for Fellowship, in recognition of our provision of high quality consultancy services to social impact organisations. We look forward to becoming involved with this diverse and influential movement for social change!
Research into what makes nonprofits great. Leslie Crutchfield and Heather McLeod Grant spent four years surveying thousands of nonprofit CEOs, conducting hundreds of interviews, and studying 12 high-impact nonprofits to uncover their secrets to success. What the authors discovered surprised them, and is revealed in the original best-selling edition of Forces for Good published in 2007. The revised and updated edition (Forces for Good: The Six Practices of High Impact Nonprofits, May 2012) explore how the original 12 great nonprofits have thrived during tumultuous times, and how local, smaller organisations can apply the "six practices" to achieve greater impact in their own communities.
