Together with Maritza they bring the highest quality services to clients, and work with them to jointly develop the most responsive innovative solutions and strategies to enable maximum social impact.
Maritza Tucker
Maritza Tucker is Founding Director at MT Impact Consulting (MTIC). She has expert knowledge of organisational design and performance for impact which she has developed throughout her career in international sustainable development, social finance and social enterprise that spans over 20 years, in over 30 countries. During this time, she has worked with a range of organisations, in senior roles, as a consultant, and to generate innovative policy with a focus on social investment and entrepreneurship. Through her work, Maritza has witnessed the potential of organisations that deliver social value to achieve broader positive lasting impacts. She established MTIC to support organisations in unlocking this potential. Before forming MTIC, Maritza worked with Women’s World Banking, the New Economics Foundation, WWF-UK and Action Planning. She also worked with local organisations, in posts through the World Bank and Princeton University, in Ethiopia, Eritrea, Ecuador and Peru, looking at issues of microfinance, enterprise development, corporate social responsibility, sustainable development and citizenship. At MTIC, Maritza and her team have worked with a diversity of organisations and clients providing social change, business and financial modelling, strategic and business planning, organisational (including governance) development, evaluations, market and ecosystems research, and strategic plans for stakeholder engagement. She has also led teams in the development of high quality, high impact international projects, involving the use of a range of design and planning tools such as the logical framework and the theory of change model. Maritza holds a Master's in Public and International Affairs, Development Studies from Princeton University. She also holds an Executive Education Diploma on Sustainability and Circular Economy Strategies from the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge, a Post-graduate Certificate in Global Affairs Management from the University of Winchester, and a Bachelor's degree (Summa Cum Laude) in Economics and Finance jointly from Universidad de Puerto Rico and the American University in Washington DC. She also recently obtained a Post-graduate Certificate in Education with a focus on Mathematics from the University of Winchester. Maritza is a Founding Member of Social Value International, a Governor at a local primary school, and a member of Social Value UK, Social Enterprise UK, Princeton University Alumni UK, and the New Economics Foundation alumni network. She is also a Fellow Scholar of the Harry S. Truman Foundation (a US national programme that recognises exceptional academic achievement, leadership and public service) and of the Jose Jaime Pierluisi Foundation. Maritza is an excellent communicator and facilitator, who derives great pleasure in working with organisations in a personable, engaging and efficient way to develop creative solutions and unlock maximum impact potential. Maritza is also an accomplished violinist, having performed as soloist (in a previous life!) in a number of theatres in Upstate New York, Vermont and Puerto Rico. She is a keen PADI-certified scuba diver and is actively involved in marine conservation initiatives through Project AWARE and the Marine Conservation Society. She also loves hiking and mountain hiking (having walked the Camino de Santiago de Compostela and completed the UK National Three Peaks Challenge recently!), and exploring the outdoors with her husband Andrew and their four children.
